Today Mt. Bachelor announced that they would open the rail park and tubing runs on Friday. This is unfortunate, because reportedly the mountain had a full opening on November 18 way back in 2005. As we’ve been having a sort of a late summer here in Bend, there have been lots of bikers out. Bikers dressed in gloves, winter hats, leg warmers, knee warmers and anything else you could fit on your body and still ride, but bikers nonetheless. So I decided to join them.

Still in town, looking like a beautiful fall afternoon.

Snow, but none on the road. At the top it gets pretty sketchy.

The sky was pretty throughout the ride.

Not much snow. But it is coming.
