Warm October Rain
· Oct 1, 03:04 PM
Today I skied from North Conway up to Bartlett, over Bear Notch and back down the Kanc and Passaconaway Rd. It’s nice to be somewhere different and skiing different roads, but I’m being treated to some typical New England fall weather. Which is to say, wet. The humidity finally started falling out of the sky, and I got a lot of rain on my ski today. While it was nice to have most of the leaf peepers (and their RVs) off the roads, the rain made for a very, very dirty ski. My Aeros tend to throw the dirt up off the wet roads, and today was no exception. At least it wasn’t raining on my descent of Bear Notch, which meant I stayed pretty warm. Tomorrow looks like a hike, and it might not be so warm. We shall see. At least it’s not cold November rain. Yet.
